Jar of Questions - Part 15
Tell about a frustrating experience Ive had with a car.
Really we have those problems all the time with these new cars and all the electronic parts, relays + sensors on them. We can work weeks at a time trying to find the problems because they only happy a particular way or after being driven for so long a time at a surtain speed etc. That why a lot of the mechanics are getting out of the trade and I know Im ready also.
One problem we had with our motor home was with a trip to Emily + Jeff's home in Idaho. We had Jamey with us and went to Idaho OK then back to Salt Lake City for Joan to take + participate in a seminar for 3 or 4 days. Jamey and I visited all the church places to visit and the capitol building and we went shopping for Jamey and spent way too much money on her. We parked our motor home in the big parking lot and camped there during that time in Salt Lake City. We even went out to the Great Salt Lake. Then we headed home. Everything went OK until we started up the hill to Flagstaff then the motor home slowed down and wouldn't go. Just bearly it crawled up the hill and made it into Flagstaff. We pulled into the parking lot at McDonalds and I changed the gas filter, coil, and some other things and filled it with fas and we headed for Joseph City to see Jennifer + Ed + the girls. The motor home run OK to there and we had a good visit with Jamey's sister. Then we headed home. We had more real trouble as we pulled the hill out of Heber and finally it just died right in the road so what do we do now. I looked back down the hill and there was a road off to the right so I slowly let it coast back down the main road and backed off just able to turn just right and got out and started checking fuel lines and trying to get fuel to the fuel pump but to make a long story short I finally took the gas cap off, got some extra fuel hose I had, put a big nut on the end of the hose to hold it down in the bottom of the tank and run the hose directly to the fuel pump with the cap off and a rag poked around the hose to keep the dirt out of the tank and it did start + run. A highway patrolman did stop and check on me while I was under the motor home and asked if I needed help but I told him I thought we could figure it out so he drove off. After we got it running we let it run awhile and I told Jamey I thought everything was OK so we could go now. She agreed that it was running OK but that we had forgot one big thing. I asked her what was that. She said we need prayer. That surprised me coming from Jamey, but I agreed with her and asked her to give the prayer. She did and away we went and it run OK all the way home. Something about faith + works make it happen. I had to pull the tank on the motor home and put a new pickup hose in tank after we got home but that was a frustrating time trying to get us home those 2 days. But we did it.
What is your secret or thoughts for good health?
Being happy + content, doing what you want to do when you want to do it, being able to work at the speed you want too. But I believe work is the nessesary thing of life. It makes you achieve things and it gives you the experiences you need to keep body + mussel going. When you do work it helps other people in need and it helps yourself feel good when you achieved the finishing of the job or project and it turned out OK.
If you set around like a couch potatoe you get soft + weak + fat and pretty soon I think you'd be a dead potatoe.
